Sarah Fanslau - Senior Director; Clubs, Campaigns and Days of Service

Sarah received her Master of Science in Social Policy and Development Studies from the London School of Economics, after which she worked at the Young Foundation, where she conducted research to help local and central government better understand the impact and effectiveness of their social policies. After returning to the US, she worked at Health Leads, an innovative social enterprise that works to break the link between poverty and poor health by addressing the social determinants of health. In her current role at generationOn, Sarah leads programs that support youth in becoming caring, capable and compassionate young changeakers through engagement in a national network of clubs and social impact campaigns.

 

Terra Gay - Vice President

Terra received her Bachelor of Arts in African & African American Studies from Emory University. She has a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young people. In addition to serving as the Vice President of generationOn, she is also President and CEO for The Ngambika Academy (a Kiswahili word prounounced Nam-bee-kah, meaning 'help me carry the load'), designed to provide a 'train the trainer' model and curriculum for volunteers and mentors seeking to create ongoing leadership, service learning and life skills training for young people.

 

Dairanys Grullon-Virgil - Program Coordinator, Clubs

Dairanys received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the City College of New York and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration at Baruch College/CUNY. She migrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic at the age of thirteen. During her undergraduate years, she focused on development, culture and women studies. Dairanys is the co-founder of The Sister Circle Collective, a transnational, grassroots feminist community organization. She also organizes around the issue of gender justice, education, arts and music. 

 

Niki Huntsman - Digital Marketing Coordinator

Niki received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Technical Communications with a minor in Ethnic Studies from Colorado State University. After graduating, she moved to New York City to earn her Master of Science in Global Affairs, with a focus in International Development and Humanitarian Assistance at New York University. Niki has completed multiple marketing internships for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations and brings fresh experience and perspective to the marketing team. In her spare time, Niki enjoys exploring New York City, volunteering, and traveling.

 

Kate Kerley - Senior Manager, Marketing and Communications

Kate has eight years' experience in nonprofit marketing. After receiving her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Boston University, she worked for a variety of national nonprofits including the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and American Brain Tumor Association, elevating their marketing efforts. In her current role at generationOn, Kate leads the marketing and communications department to share stories of and amplify the incredible work of the young changemakers in our network. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and is an avid sports fan.

 

Delores Morton - Executive Director 

Delores received her Bachelor of Arts in Literature with a concentration in Writing and Culture from Louisiana State University. She began her career in the nonprofit sector as an AmeriCorps member and is recognized for her experitise in supporting nonprofit effectiveness, designing and implementation of systems for knowledge management and development, and the design and delivery of training programs. Prior to joining generationOn, Delores served as the director for the Center for Nonprofit Resources at Volunteer Baton Rouge and executive director of the Louisiana Association for Community Economic Development. In her current role at generationOn, Delores is responsible for developing program initiatives and models to address the organization's core impact areas.

 

Rouella Ramos - Senior Manager, Clubs

Rouella received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she served in the US Peace Corps in Kyrgyzstan, where she led educational development projects with teachers and school leaders as well as facilitated youth-led community service projects. She then moved to New York City to study International Educational Development at Teachers College, Columbia University. After graduating, Rouella led a service-oriented cross-country cycling trip with a nonprofit, Bike & Build. As her team cycled from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, they stopped and volunteered with affordable housing organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together. Currently, she volunteers with Achilles International, leading visually-impaired athletes on runs around Central Park.

 

Vonnetta L. West - Program Manager

Vonnetta received her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Alabama. She is a proud AmeriCorps alum and former AmeriCorps program director. She helped start a computer and professionalism school in Liberia, West Africa, where she lived for almost two years. Most recently, Vonnetta was a member of The King Center staff team, where she led the implementation of education and training based on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s nonviolent philosophy. In her current role at generationOn, Vonnetta manages the Corps 18 program, where she provides oversight of the Corps 18 VISTAs and Bright Future Fellows.
